COOK FOR GOOD - VIRTUAL ONLINE ZOOM & LIVE KITCHEN TEAM BUILDING & BONDING COOKING EVENTS WHERE TEAMS COOK FOR CHARITY AND SOCIAL ACTION IN THE UK, COOKING FOR THOSE IN NEED, HOMELESS & VULNERABLE PEOPLE

VIRTUAL TEAM COOKING

Are you looking for ways to recreate a sense of team spirit while you're working remotely?

Cook for Good is well known for our team building events, where we use food and cooking to help teams bond and build their dynamics, and cook for those in need. Although we’re not able to currently offer in-kitchen team building events right now, our virtual cooking sessions are a brilliant alternative, giving you the chance to get your team back together for laughs, learning and loads of food.

Our live, interactive classes take place over Zoom, and are suitable for all levels, from cooking avoiders to expert home chefs.

A message from Nichola Wilson, Corporate Partnerships Manager, FareShare
"As a valued partner of FareShare we wanted to make sure that your colleagues were still able to engage in our work, albeit a little differently and very much virtually. We can’t wait to see you back in our Warehouses across the UK but in the meantime we hope you will enjoy this virtual cooking class hosted by Cook for Good.

There is a reason we are sharing Cook for Good's offering with you - They are a social enterprise, who use their corporate team building events to produce food for those in need. We have partnered with them previously and strategically on events, and will be working with them on some exciting projects going forward. They are in the process of establishing a Pantry and Community Kitchen on a housing estate in Kings Cross and will receive food from FareShare to use in their various activities.

We are delighted to be partnering with them and to introduce you to them for your team events, which will help raise essential funds for the Community Kitchen"

How it works...

Cook & Connect
  • Sign up with a group of up to 25 people (if you are a larger group than 25, we recommend a chef demo session).
  • We agree the menu with you. Ideally we want to theme it around sustainability and "use-up" dishes, because this is linked directly to the work of FareShare, and a principle we wish to share. It just fits perfectly for this event. We would base the menu on ingredients that have been prevalent in the FareShare warehouse around the time of your team event, paired with some typical ingredients we find regularly in our fridges and store-cupboards at home.
  • A week before your session, we’ll send through a list of ingredients for you to buy, and the Zoom login details.
  • On the day, everyone logs in from their own home kitchens
  • A member of the FareShare Corporate Partnerships team will join at the start of the session to give an overview of the work FareShare is currently doing
  • Then, we will teach you how to cook your meal, step by step. As we proceed through the cooking, you can ask as many questions as you like, and we work at a pace that suits everyone. Your families are welcome to join in the fun.
  • You’ll get to take part in the shared experience of cooking – and have a delicious meal ready to eat that evening.
Cook & Share
As above, but with a recipe based on making double portions, so you can offer a meal to vulnerable people in your family or neighbourhood.
Chef Demo Sessions
The format is the same as above, but is audience watching rather than cooking along with. This can be the choice for any team size if they prefer to watch, not cook but it is definitely the recommended option for teams larger than 25 people.

The Price...

Event fees:
  • There is a minimum event fee of £500 for any event.
  • For hands-on/cook-along sessions (Cook & Connect, Cook & Share), this £500 fee includes up to 25 logins. We thing this is the best maximum number of participants for this type of event.
  • For chef demo sessions (where participants watch, but don't cook-along), this £500 fee includes up to 35 logins.  Additional fees will apply depending on your group size as there is no top limit on logins. Please request a bespoke price.
  • Family members in the same home can join in at no extra costs on the same login screen.
  • Vat will be added
  • The fee will be invoiced to you directly

Donation:
In addition to the event fee, we are appealing for donations, to help us build a much needed Community Kitchen and FareShare Pantry on a housing estate in Kings Cross. A donation is optional and separate to your team event fee, and you can consider what donation to make following your team event if you prefer.
