The Cook for Good kitchen in Kings Cross is home to a programme of food and cooking events, for people living on and around the Priory Green Estate.
We run cooking classes for all ages, and cook up regular community meals for residents to enjoy with friends and neighbours. And our surplus food pantry gives members the chance to top up their weekly shop at a big discount, grab a coffee or some soup, and chat with their neighbours.
From Cooking on a Budget to After School Cookery Drop-In, our classes are designed to take the fear out of cooking and encourage people of all ages to get stuck in.
All our classes are either free or very low cost and we’ll provide the ingredients. You’ll also get to stay and enjoy what you’ve made with your group, or take it to eat at home.
Come along to learn new skills, create quick and easy meals and meet up with others in your community.
See all classesWe’ve joined forces with The Felix Project (FareShare) to create a surplus food pantry, where members can help limit food waste and top up their weekly shop with healthy food, all for a fraction of the usual cost.
There is a range of fresh, frozen and storecupboard food available each week. And our kitchen chef is on hand to share tips, recipes and tasters based on the week’s ingredients.
Martha, our community coordinator, will be around for a coffee and a chat about any community or individual issues.

It’s a great way to catch up with people for a bite and a chat - and you won’t even have to do the washing up.
