COOKING classes and courses
Meet your neighbours, pick up new skills and boost your confidence in the kitchen
We run fun, friendly cooking sessions in our kitchen, designed to give community members the skills and confidence they need to enjoy cooking for themselves and others. From our Men's Grub Club and Cook for Health adult courses, to our holiday classes for children, all sessions are free – and we'll provide the chefs, food and equipment, too.

Here’s a taste of our classes

Men’s Grub Club
If you’re a man aged over 60, and would like to pick up some cooking skills and meet others of a similar age, this is for you. Learn how to make delicious, comforting meals alongside your neighbours, then sit down and enjoy the food together.

Cook for Health
This course is designed to build a community of people with diabetes, and explore how to cook meals and make lifestyle changes which will have a positive effect on their condition. It’s a six-month course, run in partnership local GP Dr Jane Myat.

Kids aged 9 and over
Send your teens and tweens to our kitchen to learn how to make the kind of food they love to eat – from scratch. They’ll get all the help they need from our team of chefs, and enjoy the chance to sit together and eat what they’ve made.

Parents and kids aged 4-8
Come along with your younger children for a hands-on cooking session. Our chefs will take them through the recipes step by step, and help them use kitchen equipment safely too. And you’ll be there to give as much or as little help as they need.
