Our surplus food pantry is an easy, low-cost way to top up your shopping. Members pay £3.50 each week, then come in on a Thursday and choose a basket of food worth between £15 and £25.
There are a range of fresh, frozen and storecupboard ingredients available, and you’ll be able to make choices based on what your household likes.
Use this form to register your interest in becoming a Pantry member.
Eligibility is based on things like household size and employment status, so our community coordinator will follow up with you to complete a more detailed registration form.
A visit to the Pantry is more than just a shopping trip.
Our chef will be on hand to talk you through the week’s selection and pass on recipes and ideas for what to do with them. They will also give you a taste of any dishes they’ve made from the ingredients on offer that week, to inspire you to have a go yourself.
Martha, our community coordinator, will be in the Pantry on Thursdays, to listen to your ideas and help you with any issues you might be having. We’re keen to make sure that we’re offering our community what you really want and need, so share away; we’re listening.
The food we sell in the pantry is donated by surplus food organisations. It’s always good quality, and in-date, but it might otherwise have been thrown away. So just by shopping with us, you’ll be helping reduce food waste.
We hope your weekly visits to the Pantry will inspire you to experiment with different ingredients and try new things. If you cook a meal you really enjoy after your visit, we’d love to hear about it; text us some photos or share them on our social media pages.
