THE PANTRY

Boost your weekly shop and catch up with your neighbours

Our surplus food pantry is an easy, low-cost way to top up a weekly shop. Members pay £3.50 each week to choose a basket of food worth between £30 and £35.

And it’s not just about the shopping; the Pantry is also a social hub, a soup café and an advice centre. It takes place every Thursday, and is a real highlight of the week.

Unfortunately, we are not currently able to accept new Pantry registrations. We hope to reopen our list in late March; please check back here for updates. In the meantime,  you may be able to get food support at one of our neighbouring foodbanks.

From the moment you walk in you are made to feel welcome and special.
This place has stopped me and my daughter from going without meals, many thanks.

Shopping at the Pantry is all about choice. You can fill your basket with fresh, frozen and storecupboard ingredients and other essentials, based on what your household needs.

Grab a drink, a pastry and a chat

Pantry Day is also a great chance to catch up with your local friends and neighbours. You can grab a cup of tea or a barista-style coffee, and a pastry or two, and settle in for a chat.

We also run a Soup Café, offering a choice of homemade soups each week. If you like what’s on offer, you can take the recipe away to try at home.

The food we sell in the pantry is always good quality, and in-date, but might otherwise have been thrown away.
