Our surplus food pantry is an easy, low-cost way to top up a weekly shop. Members pay £3.50 each week to choose a basket of food worth between £15 and £25.
And it’s not just about the shopping; the Pantry is also a social hub, a soup café and an advice centre. It takes place every Thursday, and is a real highlight of the week.
Register your interestShopping at the Pantry is all about choice. You can fill your basket with fresh, frozen and storecupboard ingredients and other essentials, based on what your household needs.
Pantry Day is also a great chance to catch up with your local friends and neighbours. You can grab a cup of tea or a barista-style coffee, and a pastry or two, and settle in for a chat.
We also run a Soup Café, offering a choice of homemade soups each week. If you like what’s on offer, you can take the recipe away to try at home.
When we can, we put on cooking demonstrations, walking through a simple recipe step by step, and giving everyone a taste.
Martha is on hand to catch up on your news, listen to your ideas and help you with any issues you might be having.
The food we sell in the pantry is always good quality, and in-date, but might otherwise have been thrown away.
If you live on or near the Priory Green Estate, you can use this form to register your interest in becoming a Pantry member. Eligibility is based on things like household size and employment status, so our community coordinator will follow up with you to complete a more detailed registration form.
