Are you a kitchen newbie who needs a few skills to get started? Or a parent or carer who wants to add some new, affordable meals to your week? Or are you living alone and looking for a way to get out and do something different?
We run regular cooking classes and demonstrations, for local people of all ages and experience levels. They’re fun, friendly sessions, designed to give you the skills and confidence you need to enjoy cooking for yourself and others.
Get on our invite listWe publish all our cooking classes on Eventbrite, and notify everyone on our invite list when a new class is coming up. So please use the form below to get on the list, and look out for emails from us.
In the meantime, here’s a flavour of some of our most popular classes.
Join us for an intro class, covering the basic knife skills that will help you prepare meals quickly and safely. Our chef will get you slicing and dicing with proper kitchen knives to make delicious meals from scratch. You’ll be surprised at the difference it makes!
We all have bits and bobs lurking in our fridges that we’re not sure how to use – but it’s easier than you’d think to turn them into a meal. From roasted vegetable rolls to an ‘everything in’ rice salad, these dishes will save you money and help avoid waste.
Bring your children to the Cook for Good Kitchen to learn how to make the kind of food they love to eat –from scratch. Our chefs will take them through the recipes step by step, and help them use kitchen equipment safely too.
Come and find out how to make delicious, healthy meals from the kind of things you can pick up in our Pantry. Our chef will be given a basket of ingredients from the week’s delivery, and challenged to turn them into dishes, Ready Steady Cook style.
If you live in the Kings Cross area, and are interested in joining us for cooking classes and / or community meals, please sign up here. We’ll email you when we’re putting on a new class or meal, and ask you to register your interest in coming along.
